How to Apply / Deadline

To apply for a scholarship you must log into my.ucf.edu, go to the Student Self Service Portal, and click on Scholarship Application. A personal statement (500 word max) and resume is required for all scholarship submissions.

The College of Business awards scholarships by major to undergraduate and graduate students. To learn more about each scholarship, click on the individual department links below. Details provided include award values, criteria and additional attachments required for submission. Students applying must be actively enrolled during the disbursement semester.

The College also has several scholarships available to any business major. For more information on how to apply for these general College of Business scholarships, visit the Office of Student Financial Assistance.

The scholarship deadline for the 2017-2018 academic year is Oct. 15, 2017. Funds will be disbursed during the Spring semester.

The DeVos Sport Business Management and Kenneth G. Dixon School of Accounting scholarships will be posted in the Spring with a Fall 2018-19 disbursement.

NOTE: All accounting scholarship applicants must upload the Financial Data form to their application in MyUCF. Application deadline for accounting is February 5, 2017*.

    • Generally full-time status in the semester awarded
  • Completed at least 6 hours of upper level (3000 or higher) accounting courses

Accounting Advisory Board Endowed Scholarship Fund
  • $1,000 – $2,500
  • Minimum two awards
  • Full-time (minimum 12 hours) upper division undergraduate accounting majors or Master of Science in Accounting candidates with a minimum 9 hours in the semester of the award
  • Recipients will be selected based upon an evaluation of financial need, demonstrated academic performance and a commitment to the profession of accountancy
ASMC Accounting Scholarship Fund
  • Minimum of $500 annually
  • Enrolled (or intend to enroll) as an undergraduate student in UCF College of Business majoring in Accounting
  • Full-time student enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours
  • 3.2 GPA
  • Graduate of a Florida High School
  • Submit a one page personal statement essay outlining the above criteria, personal goals and strengths, and their reasons for choosing accounting as their field of study
Averett Warmus Durkee Sandra E. Breitenstein Memorial Scholarship
  • $2,500
  • Two awards
  • Full-time or part-time graduate student in the Kenneth G. Dixon School of Accounting
  • Applicant must be studying in the field of accounting
Barb and Doug Dyson Endowed Scholarship
  • Annual by semester
  • Full-time undergraduate student in the Kenneth G. Dixon School of Accounting
  • Undergraduate student whose parent(s} have not earned baccalaureate degrees
  • Maintain a minimum 3.0 overall GPA
  • Preference given to students who intend to pursue a career as a Certified Public Accountant
  • May be awarded to the same student in successive semesters until graduation provided that funds are available and the recipient maintains eligibility
BDO, USA LLP Endowed Scholarship
  • $1,400 annual by semester
  • Minimum 3.0 overall grade point average
  • Enrolled as a part-time or full-time undergraduate or graduate student at UCF in the Kenneth G. Dixon School of Accounting
  • Demonstrate strong potential for success as a Certified Public Accountant in public practice as indicated by his or her academic performance in relevant coursework
  • May be awarded to the same student in successive semesters until graduation provided that funds are available and the recipient maintains eligibility
Berman Hopkins Wright and LaHam Endowed Scholarship
  • Annual by semester
  • Full-time or part-time undergraduate or graduate student in the Dixon School of Accounting
  • Must be a resident of Orange, Seminole, Lake, Osceola or Brevard counties in the State of Florida
Bond Foundation Inc. Endowed Scholarship
  • Annual by semester
  • Admitted as a doctoral student at UCF in an academic program with a concentration in accounting or taxation
  • Maintain good academic standing in his or her degree program
  • Financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid may be considered
  • May be awarded to the same student in successive semesters until graduation provided funds are available and the recipient maintains eligibility
Borcheck and Gase Endowed Scholarship
  • Annual by semester
  • Full-time undergraduate or graduate student at UCF in the School of Accounting
  • Entering his/her senior year or be a graduate student
  • A minimum 3.5 overall grade point average
  • Demonstrate strong potential for success as a Certified Public Accountant in public practice as indicated by his/her academic performance in relevant coursework
Carrie and Lance Hall Endowed Scholarship
  • No award for 17-18 academic year
  • Enrolled as a full-time graduate student in the Kenneth G. Dixon School of Accounting
  • Majoring in the field of accounting
  • Should have an undergraduate GPA of 3.5 or higher and/or current GPA of 3.8 or higher
  • The same recipient can receive the scholarship each semester as long as GPA is maintained
  • Preference to students who graduate from Lake Howell High School in Winter Park,FL or Lake Brantley High School in Altamonte Springs, FL
  • An applicant can apply regardless of financial need
Dixon School of Accounting Young Alumni Scholarship Fund
  • $500 – $1,000
  • Annually
  • Full-time or part-time graduate student in the Kenneth G. Dixon School of Accounting
  • Applicant must be studying in the field of accounting
  • Applicant has demonstrated academic merit and financial need as determined by University guidelines established by the University Office of Student Financial Assistance
  • Preference will be given to Beta Alpha Psi members
Walt Disney World Leadership in Accounting Endowed Scholarship
  • Minimum $1,000 annual by semester
  • Enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student in the Kenneth G. Dixon School of Accounting
  • Undergraduate scholarship must maintain a minimum 3.25 overall GPA
  • Graduate scholarship must maintain a minimum 3.5 overall GPA
  • Preference will be given to applicants who show leadership skills by holding an officer position within an accounting student honors club and/or organization

Irene Langer Wilson Endowed Scholarship
  • $500-1,000 annually
  • Finance major
  • Completed a minimum of 100 total credit hours
  • Completed a minimum of 15 credit hours at UCF
  • Completed at least two finance courses other than FIN301
  • Minimum 40 credit hours remaining before graduation
  • Earned 2.7 GPA both overall and at UCF

Other Considerations:

James Carlton Dockeray Graduate Finance Scholarship
  • $1,500 annually
  • Full-time graduate student in the field of finance
  • May be enrolled in either the MBA program or a Ph.D degree program
  • Consideration will be given to student financial need
  • Other criteria, such as previous academic record, leadership qualities and commitment to the area of study will also be used as criteria for the award
Clayton R. Ford Endowed Fund in Banking
  • Minimum $1,000 annually
  • Full-time or part-time undergraduate student
  • Intends to major in finance and concentrate in banking
  • Priority will be given to students with a demonstrated financial need
  • A second priority will be given to students completing the Institute of Finance program at Lake Brantley High School
  • Demonstrated academic accomplishments and leadership skills
Sloan Endowment for Veterans
  • $1,000 annually
  • Full-time or part-time undergraduate student in UCF College of Business
  • Must be a U.S. military veteran
  • 3.0 GPA
  • Preference given to Finance majors
  • May be required to submit essay on what completing a degree at UCF means to your future and how you use your service experience as a veteran to help
    achieve success both professionally and personally
Northwestern Mutual O’Connell Family Endowed Scholarship
  • $1,000 annually
  • Full-time undergraduate student in UCF College of Business
  • Must major in the fields of finance or professional selling
  • Preference will be given to students from the Tampa Bay area

EMBA Class of 2009 Scholarship
  • $1,000 annually
  • One award
  • Enrolled in the Executive MBA (EMBA) program
  • Overall minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited institution and five years of professional work experience
  • Submit a response to the questions “Why did you decide to pursue an EMBA and how do you think your degree will advance your career?”
  • Preference will be given to students who are self-funding their EMBA degree
Gary Garesche EMBA Memorial Scholarship Fund
  • $1,000 annually
  • One award
  • Enrolled as a graduate student in UCF College of Business Executive MBA program
  • Selected based on desire for learning and passion
  • An essay must be completed describing the applicant’s characteristics listed above and submitted with the application (500 words)
  • Financial need will be taken into consideration
Kenneth and Ruth Bradley Management Scholarship
  • Minimum $1,000 annually (multiple awards)
  • One award
  • Full-time or part-time graduate student at UCF College of Business
  • Secondary preference will be given to full-time undergraduates in the college
  • Maintain a minimum 3.5 overall GPA
  • Submit an essay describing his or her potential for success in graduate school (500 words)
  • This scholarship may be awarded to the same student in successive semesters until graduation provided that funds are available and the recipient maintains eligibility
Master of Science Real Estate (MSRE) Endowed Scholarship
  • $1,000 annually
  • One award
  • Enrolled as a graduate student in the real estate program
  • Submit an essay (250 words or less) describing how this scholarship will impact your education

Integrated Business – Study Abroad Award
  • $1,000
  • Six awards annually
  • Registered as an Integrated Business major in the College of Business
  • Complete study abroad form committing to participate in one of the IB-sponsored study abroad programs for 2017-2018 (one during winter break, one during spring break – both require enrollment in a course through FIU) and acknowledging the scholarship will be rescinded if they do not enroll in the course and take part in one of the programs
  • Submit a 300-500 word essay describing how the study abroad experience will contribute to their career plans and complement their other coursework in Integrated Business.

  • Must be currently employed at UCF as a USPS or A&P staff member, be eligible for tuition waiver and be enrolled during the semester in which the award is made
  • Minimum 3.0 overall GPA
  • Must write an essay describing why you chose the degree you are seeking and how this degree will be career enhancing
  • Must reapply to be eligible for the award in successive semesters
Frank Neubaum Scholarship Fund
  • Up to $1,500 annually
  • Enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student in UCF College of Business
  • Management majors, Liberal Arts minors and students with a background in the arts are encouraged to apply
  • 3.0 overall GPA
  • Demonstrate involvement in leadership positions and community service by submitting an essay
  • Must be first generation college student (where neither parent has a college degree) to be verified within the essay
Management Department Scholarship
  • Minimum $500 annually
  • Full-time or part-time students majoring in Management

  • May be awarded to students who are judged to display the potential to make a contribution to business and the marketing profession as indicated through a combination of academic, campus activities and/or personal achievement
  • Award consideration will be given to students who demonstrate financial need
John Cameron Aspley Memorial Endowed Scholarship
  • $500 – $1,000
  • Multiple awards
  • Enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at the time of application
  • Marketing major in good standing
  • Minimum of two semesters remaining before graduation (including the current semester)
  • May be awarded to students who are judged to display the potential to make a contribution to business and the marketing profession as indicated through a combination of academic, campus activities and/or personal achievement
  • Award consideration will be given to students who demonstrate financial need
Wells Fargo Marketing Scholarship Fund
  • Award amount varies
  • Multiple awards
  • Enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student in good standing at the time of application
  • Must be a marketing major and/or accepted to the Professional Selling Program
  • Must have a minimum of two semesters remaining before graduation (including the application semester)
  • May be awarded to students who are judged to display the potential to make a contribution to business and the marketing profession as indicated through a combination of academic, campus activities and/or personal achievement
  • Award consideration may be given to students who demonstrate financial need
Professional Selling Program Platinum Sponsor Scholarship
  • $500 annually
  • Multiple awards
  • Enrolled as an undergraduate student in good standing
  • Must be accepted to the Professional Selling Program
  • Must have a minimum of two semesters remaining before graduation (including the application semester)
  • May be awarded to students who are judged to display the potential to make a contribution to business and the marketing profession as indicated through a combination of academic, campus activities and/or personal achievement
  • Award consideration will be given to students who demonstrate financial need

Crossman & Company Real Estate Endowed Scholarship
  • No award for Spring 2016
  • Applicant must be enrolled at the University as a full-time undergraduate or part-time graduate student majoring in real estate in the College and School
  • The student must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0
  • The applicant may be required to submit a personal statement for consideration
Dr. P. Phillips Endowed Scholars
  • $1,000 minimum
  • Multiple awards
  • Accepted or enrolled as a graduate or undergraduate student in the Dr. P. Phillips School of Real Estate
  • Applicant must complete an essay describing his or her interest in the real estate field
  • The selection committee will consider applicant’s academic credentials, financial need and potential for success in the field of real estate
ICSC Foundation George Livingston Undergrad School Real Estate
  • $3,000 annually
  • Applicant must be enrolled at the University as a full-time or part-time junior or senior level undergraduate student in the College and School, with at least one remaining semester at the time of the award
  • The applicant must major in real estate or a related field
NAIOP Jim Brown Endowed Real Estate and Business Ethics Scholarship
  • $2,000 annually
  • Multiple awards
  • Enrolled as College of Business Administration student at the junior or senior level
  • Must have an interest in pursuing real estate as a career demonstrated by having completed six hours of real estate courses at UCF OR by having completed three hours of real estate courses at UCF and be currently enrolled in an additional three hour UCF real estate course
  • Completed or be enrolled in three hours of business ethics coursework
  • May be awarded to the same student in successive semesters until graduation
William M. Kehoe Endowed Scholarship in Real Estate
  • $1,000 minimum annually
  • Full-time or part-time undergraduate or graduate student in the College
  • Maintain a minimum 3.0 overall GPA
  • Submit an essay describing his or her potential for success in the field of Real Estate
  • May be awarded to the same student in successive semesters until graduation provided that funds are available and the recipient maintains eligibility
  • Preference given to undergraduate students majoring in Real Estate, graduate students accepted to the Master of Science in Real Estate Program and/or as a last resort, an undergraduate Finance major with a minor in Real Estate

  • Preference given to applicants from Michigan
  • Secondary preference shall be given to applicants from Florida who demonstrate financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  • May be awarded to the same student in successive semesters until graduation provided funds are available and recipient maintains eligibility
Jermaine A. Jones Perseverance Scholarship
  • $1,000 annually
  • Enrolled as a graduate student in the DeVos Sport Business Management program
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Preference will be given to non-traditional students who demonstrate financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  • Applicants are required to submit a 1-2 page essay detailing obstacles he/she has overcome with examples of how they have persevered to become a graduate student within the DeVos School of Sport Business Management
Joe Lapchick Annual Scholarship Fund
  • $4,000 annually
  • Enrolled as full-time graduate students in their second year at UCF in the College of Business Administration in the DeVos Sport Business Management Program
  • Minimum 3.5 GPA
  • Demonstrate involvement in community service by submitting an essay on their work and philosophy toward service
